My Perfect Home

My Perfect Home - Pinterest

I am obviously late to the party.

When I was younger, I hated when my granny would watch HGTV. I used to call it a show for old people. Fast Forward 15 years later, I am binge watching Property Brothers. Granted, I think they are the best people on HGTV, simply because they are entertaining and I love the combination of the two. One is a realtor while the other is a contractor. That is bada$$!

I have been literally dreaming and daydreaming about my dream home, and honestly, I have decided that I want to buy my first house in 2-3 years.

Hopefully, my visions and inspirations inspire you and help you with your home renovations!

Let’s talk Kitchen!

My MUST HAVE a comfortable kitchen that is a decent size with enough room for me to cook.

****(Mom if you are reading this…I will cook)****

I do not want a dark kitchen at all. I feel it would make the kitchen look small; therefore a light kitchen would be superb. But I DO NOT WANT WHITE. I prefer either a cream or light gray.

re both different from each other, but I love them!

However, I have no idea if I want an island or a peninsula. I guess when the times comes I will be able to figure that out (and I have enough time).

Happy Saturday, friends! We’ve got a busy weekend around these parts.  We are starting to do a little work on our laundry room.  YAY!  I’ll share pics next week.  And I wanted to let you know that my sister and I are hosting an online class about essential oils next week.   She and I have […]

So, countertops are something that I am not sure on; but I know I do want light countertops. I seem to prefer granite a little more than marble.

Now, I don’t know what I want floor wise in the kitchen. I see wooden floors a lot now in kitchens than tile, but I genuinely don’t know what I prefer. I lived in places that had both (I think I prefer wood, but who knows).

Now, Let’s talk Living Room and Dining Room.

I probably won’t use a dining room unless I am hosting an event. However, you HAVE to think resale value. In today’s time, people prefer 3+ rooms, 2+ baths, and both a living room and dining room.

Just like everyone else, I love the open concept. It makes the square footage of your home feel bigger as well as more welcoming and inviting.

For my living room, I want light colors again (I can do an accent wall that is a darker color). I DON’T WANT CARPET! Not in the living or dining room. That is a no.

A fireplace would be perfect; I just don’t know what exact location I’d prefer.

I have been thinking the TV above the fireplace though. It just seems some warm and cuddly.

I am even excited sharing this with you all!
My living room has to have a big window! It is just something I want. I love natural lighting I think it is the best lighting and lighting helps with selfies. Priorities people!

Side note: My big living room window will have to have drapes of course.

The natural lighting is such a win and a beautiful view to the backyard. I can’t imagine having my dream home anything less. I mean look at these photos, they are perfect!

Awesome beams! Great way to incorporate into a flat Ceiling

Lastly, we are going to talk about one of my favorite locations, the bathroom!

Two sinks is a must have (in the master bathroom). When/if I get married, my husband and I do not need to share one sink. Also, I want a separate bathtub and shower, and I do want both a tub and shower.

This is a good example of how I want my tub and shower set up. It is literally my dream!

Ok, friends! Hopefully, you liked my dream home ideas!
Maybe it even helped you with your own designs. I will definitely be doing a part two of my perfect home.
