Howdy! Hopefully, you all are having a joyous day, and you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had an incredible time! Unfortunately, I worked (however, that means I got money, lol), but I had some family come into town, and I loved it! I was thinking the other day, I just blog and blog, but do my blogging friends know who I am? I know there are many things you all don’t know about me and I want us to be able to relate to each other in many ways! I want you to know you’re not the only one going through something or felt a certain way. Therefore, I thought, what are some things my blogger friends don’t know about me? I try to share my experiences with you all, but there are still a lot of things you all don’t know.
7 Things You Don’t Know About Me, Let’s GO!
I am tall!
Maybe you all cannot tell through my photos, but I am 5’10. Society might think that is tall, but my brother is 14 and “taller” than me. I bet that is something you don’t know about me, lol. I did not automatically love being tall. At first, I was really self-conscious because I was always the tallest one. And I get tired of these comments (still til this day), “How tall are you?” “Are you wearing heels?” “Are you really that tall?” “Are you standing on something?” and so on. Plus, I use to think I would never find a man taller than me. I was wrong. There are plenty of tall men in the world. Besides, that is the least of my worries. Now, there is one con of being tall, and that is shopping. That is it. Clothes almost never fit. I literally have to buy extra long every time I go to Buckle and sometimes they may not have it in the store because short girls (back when I was in high school) would buy extra long so they can roll up the bottom of their jeans. How annoying! I mean I love FashionNova, but their jeans are NOT long enough at all. Instead of me rocking my FashionNova jeans, I have to rock my FashionNova capris.
SINGLE and not ready to mingle.
As much as I enjoy relationships, I am not in one, and I am not in a rush to be in one. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good romance, and I am so excited for the day I say I do, to whoever that man is. However, it is not that time, and I personally do not want to settle (again). When the time comes, it’ll be magical. Right now, I am getting to know myself and constantly improving, so then I am ready to be the best me for someone else. I think everyone should take a step back and focus on internal growth. That is all I have to say about that subject unless someone has a question about it or wants me to expand (meaning a blog post about being single).
I graduated from Midwestern State University, May 2016. That was such an incredible day and accomplishment because sometimes I was uncertain if I was going to make it. I love referring back to my college days, and there are so many things I would do differently, which is why I am always writing about college on here. I want to help my younger friends on their collegiate journey! My major was Marketing, and one of the things I wish my school did differently was taught online marketing because that is what marketing is in 2017. Also, I wanted my school to have the Delta Sorority when I was in college (not my last semester) because I really wanted to be a part of something and honestly I thought being a Delta would be fantastic, but it was not available to me at the time. If you have not done so yet, get my free Ultimate College Checklist!
Am I athletic? HAHA, it depends on who you are asking. I played basketball growing up, and I still wish I took the sport more seriously. Oh well, I can’t change the past. However, now I lift, and I love it! Leg Day is my favorite day! That is when my day is intense, and I have a great day after Leg Day! Omg, if you want some awesome leggings that you can squat in (girls you know what I am talking about) go here and use the code TERRAHLP10 for money off! My brother says my thighs are big, but that is because I focus on my quads and hammies, it is my happiness! During the Thanksgiving week I took time off, but working out just truly brings you a different kind of happiness and control.
Love At First Sight?
What catches my eye? Mhmm, when I first see someone I don’t normally think too much about them. I know it sounds horrible, but it takes a lot for me to truly trust and want someone in my life. It takes repetition and consistency. For example, I am not attracted to people easily until I get to know their personality. And I never normally really think someone is HANDSOME unless I see them a few times. I think it may be because I see people every day at my job. 100s of people a day that everything blends in, lol. So, let’s stick with the answer personality. That is what catches my eye. I love an amazing personality.
Texas or California
Where are you from? That is a question I was always asked when I moved to Texas, and I am still asked that, maybe every week because people never believe I am from Texas. Well, I am not. Honestly, no offense to Texans I love that people do not think I am from Texas because I am a PROUD CALIFORNIAN. California is one of my favorite places just because of the great diversity that I still have not found in Texas. Born and Raised in the L.B.C. and I am always trying to come back home. Texas is nice, but California has my heart.
I am 23, and it is my Jordan Year. Yes, I am an adult according to society, but it is not that easy. I’ve realized you do not make a lot of money working a regular job (well not enough to survive on). Adulting is not as fun as I thought it would be. Free subscription is over; I’d like to cancel my membership. That is all I have on that topic. A great thing you probably don’t know about me. I plan on growing and elevating my life this year in all levels.
