“Sometimes it takes a heartbreak to shake us awake & help us see we are worth so much more than we’re settling for.” ― Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass
This is the absolute perfect representation of the first quarter of my 2017 year .Don't Ever Settle. Click To Tweet Don’t Ever Settle. That is my number one advice to all of my friends, family, and supporters. I promise, settling does nothing for you but make you unhappy in the present and future. Who and what are you settling for? Do you feel as if you are unworthy to do what makes YOU happy? Whatever it is, it is ok. I go through the same thing, and I am not only writing this for you but myself as well. I feel I am settling, and I am trying to do so no longer because I need to continue to remember my worth.
Believe it or not, I am a very passionate person who loves hard, and I want what is best for all of my loved ones.
At the beginning of the year, I went through a time where I was no longer (really) living for me, and I started not knowing my worth. It was a hard time for me, but I am so grateful I went through it, because I realized my worth again and what I wanted to do. Now, you cannot change your entire life overnight, but you can take steps to get to where you want to go. So, why settle? Don’t Ever Settle!
If I am not convincing you to be the best you or to do what you want, I will give you a list on why you should not settle, because it is THAT important to me that WE ALL make it. Why compete when we can be a community?
Terrah’s List on Don’t Ever Settle, Here is Why (lol, but seriously):
Love yourself (The love you have for yourself)
Be the Best You
Live your best life
No regrets/coulda shoulda woulda(s)
You worked hard for you
So, why settle again?
Friends, I hope you all know when I say don’t ever settle, I am not only talking about for yourself but also in relationships. Don’t ever settle in life. I came across this article about why we settle, and I would love for you all to take a look, especially if you feel that you are settling.
I understand you may not always get what you want in life. However, what I am saying is, if you can more than likely get what you desire why not go for it? For example, and it may be a silly example for you, but it is a big step for me, I wanted Starbucks the other day. I did my favorite mobile order, but when I got there, they informed me that they were out of almond milk. She suggested I use coconut milk; I declined because I hate coconut milk. She suggested soy; I said no and asked for my refund so that I can go elsewhere. I was not rude at all, but I really did not want to settle for something I did not want (especially when you are spending your money).
My goal for 2018, is to be my best me. I am not there yet, although I am working hard at it. Why don’t we all do it? Let’s all work on us and being the best us. Let’s not settle! I am genuinely excited for this.
