Why I want to Improve my Fitness

One thing that I can admit I lacked is consistency in the gym. Now, I have decided to improve my fitness. I am ready to have my absolute DREAM body and ready to hit the gym 3-4 times a week every week no excuses. And to be honest, I am excited!

Now, some people tell me…”Why do you want to work out you’re skinny?”

Wait, what?

You can still be unhealthy and not your best while skinny.

Besides, I am not skinny! 🙃

I want to improve my fitness because I want to be stronger and be extremely happy with the physical appearance of my body. Not trying to be rated R, but when I see myself naked, I want to be like damn Tee.

So, ready to hear my personal body goals for myself? If not, you know I will tell you anyway!

I want my quads to be killer and my glutes to be FIRE. That is one of my main fitness goals and areas to improve my fitness fo’sho! However, don’t think I will neglect my arms. I just did shoulders the other day actually (and I am still sore).

One thing I learned from Whitney Simmons is when you work on your back (and it gets bigger) it gives the allusion of a smaller waist.

Ways I will Improve my Fitness


Focusing is something that you need to do with EVERYTHING you plan on doing in life.


When you start a new week, you need to focus on what you want/need to accomplish, and hopefully, the gym is a need for you like it (now) is for me.

Every week in my planner I write down my days to work out, so I already know what is expected for from myself.

At the gym, I turn on my headphones, and I make sure that I focus on myself and my workouts — no one else.


Consistency was one of my most significant problems, consistency. It was like I did not know how to become consistent. I used to go to the gym for like for like a month or two straight. Then I’d stop.

You cannot grow physically or improve your fitness if you are not at the gym. That does not make sense at all! It is the definition of insanity. Doing something over and over again not getting the results you wanted, but not doing anything to change it.

That was me.

Now, I have come to the point where I won’t accept it, and I am determined to improve my fitness.

So far., so good. I have been doing a great job heading to the gym. It has been so great that my brother and boyfriend complimented me on it.

I wanted to share with you some of the ladies that I follow on Instagram, and they are not afraid to share their fitness journey, and it is incredible!

Check out on IG. She is always posting workouts, protein drinks, meal prep ideas, and more. I went to college with Gina and worked with her. She is incredible, and her determination is always great to see onmIG especially when I want to make an excuse about working out. Gina also launched a blog Damn Gina.

I met this fit chick above on IG and have been following her sense. Her IG page gives me a certain type of life that I want you all to experience. Not only does she take you on her journey from workouts to life. She is by far motivational, so I recommend checking her out (and she shows her workouts on her IG).


DO NOT MAKE EXCUSES! It is something that majority of us do, and honestly, we have to put a stop to it.

When we are continually making excuses on why we are not doing this or that it sets us up for complete failure. So stop doing it now.

You will only improve your fitness by not making excuses. Well, that is the first step.

Make a plan! Write out your goals! I decided to get my plans in order so that I can improve my fitness and it has definitely been working!

I have decided that I will (for now) workout Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Tuesdays: Leg/Glutes
Wednesdays: Upper body
Thursdays: Full Body

So I can easily track my progress I am going to do the same exercising for a month and switch them out, so I am not bored.

Alright, guys, I am committing to improve my f, and I want to know, are you with me?

I personally like weight lifting and the body you get from it. However, do whatever works best for you. There are group classes for beginners who have to have a group environment to feel comfortable at the gym.
