Basically, as millennials, we continuously hear “Millennials this and millennials that” and it is a lot of negative energy. However, millennials aren’t any worse than the generation above us we just have updated technology and different views.

One thing I noticed about us (millennials) we decide not to go with the status quo and take the “traditional” route in life and that my friends is badass.

So, with that being said…this series is Millennials Not Following the Status Quo – Interviews

My dream job as a kid was a singer! I thought I could sing and would put on talent shows at my grandma’s house with my cousins! I would also sing cheetah girls songs in front of my 3rd-grade class along with my two best friends! Then one day I realized I couldn’t really sing!

What is like working for Buzzfeed?

I was referred into Buzzfeed by a friend who used to work with me at a previous job who had moved on to Buzzfeed!

Do you consider your job to be a typical 9-5?

Yes, I do consider my job a 9-5, but it’s not exactly typical! There is a lot more freedom at Buzzfeed than most 9-5s!

What is your opinion on influencers in today’s time?

I think the term “influencer” is a bit derogatory and rude. It sounds to me like someone who doesn’t have a talent, which isn’t true of most influencers today! So I prefer to refer to them by what they actually do, ie, writer, YouTuber, etc.
